What are we really Passing on?
BookWhat began as a conversation became an experiment that changed the way we think about inheritance, stewardship, opporunity, and legacy. The book shares that journey, and the Book Club gives readers a place to continue the conversation.

The New Rules for Generational Wealth
This book is for parents, grandparents, and families who want to think more intentionally about wealth, opportunity, and the impact they have on the next generation.
Inside, I share the stories, experiments, mistakes, and breakthroughs that led our family to rethink inheritance, stewardship, responsibility, and connection. Not from theory, but from actually trying things and learning along the way.
You’ll explore ideas like early inheritance, qualification systems, family investing, philanthropy, homeownership, book clubs, and creating opportunities that help the next generation grow in capability and confidence.
My hope isn’t that you build what we built. It’s that our story helps you ask better questions, have more meaningful conversations, and begin imagining what might be possible in your own family.

When Helping Starts to Feel Unclear
Most parents and grandparents want to help. Sometimes that help is temporary. Sometimes it becomes ongoing. And over time, the questions begin to surface.
- Are we creating opportunity?
- Are we building capability?
- Are we helping in a way that strengthens our relationships?
- Or are we unintentionally creating something else?
These aren’t always easy converstions. Most families avoid them not because they don’t care, but because they aren’t sure how to talk about them. The book explores those questions. The conversation starts there.

Continue the Conversation in a Free Book Club
The book shares one family’s story, but the Book Club is where the conversation expands. It’s an opportunity to explore the ideas together, hear different perspectives, and reflect on how these questions show up in our own families.
Each month, a small group of readers gathers for a live 90 minute Zoom conversation about the stories, insights, and questions raised in the book. We’ll discuss what resonated, what challenged us, and what possibilities emerged as we considered inheritance, stewardship, opportunity, and family connection.
For some readers, the conversation ends there. For others, it becomes the beginning of something more. As they explore these ideas with other families, they begin imagining how they might intentionally design their own approach to legacy.
At the end of each Book Club, I’ll share information about Legacy Labs for those who want to move beyond conversation and begin creating a legacy framework for their own family.
